1) Purpose of the general terms of use
The purpose of the present general terms of use (« GTU ») is to define the conditions of use of the SYNAPCION website accessible via the Internet at the url: https://www.synapcion.com
Acceptance of the GTU is necessary to access the site.
The present GTU are made available to Users on the Site where they can be directly consulted. They may also be communicated on simple request by the User by e-mail at the following address: contact@synapcion.com

The User of the site is the Internet user.
The site is synapcion.com website.
3) Purpose of the website SYNAPCION.com
The purpose of the SYNAPCION.com website is to make SYNAPCION’s activities known, in France and abroad, in order to facilitate the connection with SYNAPCION.
– The site is published by SYNAPCION, 58 rue de la Bretonnerie, 45000 Orléans, France.
– The director of publication of the site is Mrs Béatrice TEILLET in her capacity as president and founder of SYNAPCION.
– The site is hosted by DELIXIR, 298 rue du Faubourg de Bannier, 45400 Fleury les Aubrais France.
The site is intended for professionals.
4) Description of the SYNAPCION.com website
The site presents in a general way the scientific activities of SYNAPCION.
5) Site content
– The information contained in the site is exclusively of a general nature and is not aimed at any particular situation specific to a natural or legal person.
– It is of informative nature.
– It sometimes refers to external sites over which the company SYNAPCION has no control and for which the company SYNAPCION declines all responsibility.
– They cannot be considered exhaustive and precise, and do not constitute a professional or legal opinion as such.
6) Access to the site
Users of the site acknowledge that they have the skills and means necessary to access this website.
7) Accessibility to the site
Access to the site is free of charge for all internet users.
Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of Use is necessary to access the site.
8) Personal data
The site assures the User of the collection and processing of personal information with respect for privacy in accordance with the law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms as modified by the order n°2018-1125 of 12 December 2018.
These general terms and conditions apply the amendments made by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (general regulation on data protection) which came into force on 25 May 2018 and in particular Articles 13, 15, 16 and 21 thereof, and by Law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended.
The site collects indirect personal data (IP address) necessary for the implementation of the connection to the site and security protocols by the host.
SYNAPCION only collects and processes data after having received the consent of the user either by telephone, email (surname, first name, company, email or telephone) or by the acceptance of cookies which are the subject of a dedicated paragraph (paragraph 9).
SYNAPCION does not aim to answer questions via its website.
Following the contact details left by the user for the purpose of being contacted, SYNAPCION will reply as soon as possible. The user has the possibility to use several means of contact such as e-mail and telephone available on the SYNAPCION website.
The data is kept by SYNAPCION according to the nature of the relationship:
– the setting up of the relationship: personal data (name, first name, company, contact details) are kept for a maximum of 3 years in order to maintain the relationship.
– The contractualized relationship may lead to a modification of the data retention in accordance with the legal framework associated with the contract.
The user has the right to access, rectify and oppose personal data concerning him/her by using the address contact@synapcion.com , within the legal limits of the scope of application, in particular the respect of an obligation provided for by a text of French law or the execution of a contract in particular.
The user has the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority).
9) Data processing: cookies and tracers
A tracer including cookies is a small text file stored in the Internet user’s browser.
In the context of the site, SYNAPCION may use technical tracers or cookies essential and strictly necessary for the navigation:
o They use your IP address like all other Internet sites
o Aim at secure display and navigation.
o They are not subject to consent,
o They are active for 12 hours.
The user can deactivate cookies via his browser by following the cookie parameterisation methods specified by his browser and adapted to the configuration of his equipment and the latest browser updates.
Each modality is updated and accessible via the search tool of his browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc…) by entering: « cookie settings, deactivate » and his browser, then selecting the configuration best suited to the configuration of his equipment.
As an example, for Google Chrome: open Chrome, in the menu bar click on Chrome then select Preferences/Settings/Confidentiality and Security/Cookies and other site data. You must then select by activating / deactivating the buttons corresponding to your choices for your navigation.
The User is informed that his refusal to accept the said cookies is likely to prevent him from accessing certain features of the site.
No complaint can be made against SYNAPCION in this respect.
10) Property
The site, including its web design, its general structure, its identity and graphic charter, its animated or fixed images, its text and any other element composing this site, is the exclusive property of SYNAPCION.
Any total or partial representation of this site, by any means whatsoever, without the express authorisation of SYNAPCION, is forbidden and would constitute an infringement punishable under articles L335-2 and following of the Intellectual Property Code.
11) Intellectual property
11.1 The user acknowledges that all elements and rights attached to the Website are and will remain the exclusive property of SYNAPCION. In this respect, the User does not acquire any right on these elements in any way whatsoever.
Also, any representation, reproduction and/or exploitation, total or partial, of the site, including notably its content, its pages, its texts and images, is forbidden, except with the prior written agreement of SYNAPCION, under penalty of legal proceedings.
Any reproduction/modification/transmission/exploitation of all or part of the Site or its content is strictly forbidden.
The company SYNAPCION reserves the right to prosecute any person who would make unauthorized use of its website, its graphic charter, its photographs, its logos, its models, its brands and its image in general.
All intellectual property rights (such as, in particular, copyright, neighboring rights, trademark rights, database producers’ rights) relating to both the structure and the contents of the website and, in particular, images, sounds, videos, photographs, logos, trademarks, graphic, textual and visual elements, tools, software, documents, data, etc., are protected by copyright. (hereinafter referred to collectively as « Elements ») are reserved.
– These Elements are made available to users, free of charge, for the sole use of the site’s service and within the framework of normal use of its functionalities.
Users undertake not to modify the Elements in any way.
Any use of the Elements of the site that is not expressly authorized leads to a violation of copyright and constitutes an infringement of copyright. It may also lead to a violation of image rights, personal rights or any other rights and regulations in force. It may therefore engage the civil and/or criminal liability of its author.

These illicit acts engage the responsibility of their authors and are likely to lead to legal proceedings against them and notably for counterfeiting.
11.3 The brand(s) used on the website is/are the exclusive property of the company SYNAPCION and their list appears in the Appendix.
11.4 The company SYNAPCION reserves the right to use all legal means against persons who have not respected the prohibitions contained in the present article.
12) Hypertext link
The site may contain hypertext links to other websites. SYNAPCION cannot act on the content and access of these sites and consequently cannot be held responsible for their content and access.
13) Liability and guarantee
The company SYNAPCION endeavors to secure its site but does not exempt the user from his own means of security, the proper functioning of his means of access and the proper use of the SYNAPCION site in accordance with its previously defined purpose (Article 3).
It cannot be held responsible in the following cases:
– defective functioning of the user’s infrastructure (hardware, software, operating system…),
– malfunctions likely to affect the user’s network resources (slowdown of the bandwidth, congestion of the Internet network, etc.),
– interruption of services due to maintenance operations or technical incidents,
– system security (e.g. viruses, etc.),
– temporary impossibility of access to the website and/or certain parts of it due to technical problems, regardless of their origin and provenance,
– direct or indirect damage caused to the user, whatever its nature, resulting from access, management, use, operation, malfunction and/or total or partial interruption of the use of the site
– abnormal use or illicit exploitation of the site by any user,
– computer attack or hacking, deprivation, suppression or prohibition, temporary or permanent, and for whatever reason, of access to the Internet network.
SYNAPCION cannot be held liable for direct damage suffered by the user resulting from a breach of its contractual obligations as defined herein.
The user therefore renounces the right to claim compensation from SYNAPCION in any way whatsoever for indirect damages such as loss of profit, loss of opportunity, commercial or financial prejudice, increase in overheads or losses originating from or resulting from the execution of the present contract.
Any user is then solely responsible for any damage caused to third parties and the consequences of any claims or actions that may result from this.
The user also renounces to the right to exercise any recourse against SYNAPCION in the case of legal action taken by a third party against him/her due to the illicit use and/or exploitation of the site, in the case of usurpation of the user’s identity.
Generally speaking, SYNAPCION will not be held responsible for the consequences of the user’s violation of these conditions of use.
14) Modification of the site and the GTU
– SYNAPCION reserves the right, at any time, to modify or interrupt the accessibility of all or part of its site, without prior notice.
– SYNAPCION reserves the right to develop, modify or improve all or part of its site, including the GTU, at any time without notice. The modifications, dated, come into force and are opposable to the users as soon as they are put online on the Site.
15) Entirety
If any part of the GTU should prove to be illegal, invalid or inapplicable, for whatever reason, the provisions in question will be deemed to be unwritten, without calling into question the validity of the other provisions which will continue to apply between the users and SYNAPCION.
16) Applicable law and jurisdiction
The present Terms and Conditions are subject to French law and to the competent courts of Orléans.
